Change in the Routine

Want to change your run routine? I have recently been thinking about my consistent run pattern. I have my routine, which I love because I always know what to expect. So, this week I took a chance and added some a different type of running that included a core ab workout. Running is used so much more than burning calories and I often use it to clear my mind, so this made me a little hesitant to change up my routine. However, this week I added another HIIT workout (high intensity interval training) to my activities. I had 2 runs that included my normal routine of running then I added a third run for only 24 minutes. I started by warming up for 1 mile. Then I added 10 sprints for one tenth of a mile each. I finally cooled down with a 1-mile easy paced run. It’s always hard to remember that running doesn’t have include a complicated route. In this case, I simply ran the sprints on a non-busy street really close to my house. My warmup was a simple one block bath I often run. It was simple, yet I was very surprised at how fantastic I felt after the run. It was short but the endorphins kicked in and I was feeling energetic. I added an ab workout to strengthen my core and finish off my workout
