Ohhh, the morning run!

I recently switched my routine to run in the mornings, which is a challenge. The alarm blares at 5:45 and I cringe at the thought of getting out of bed. I stumble to the closet and put my running clothes. I drink some coffee and lace up the shoes. Then, it all begins….the sun begins to rise, the sound is peaceful and quiet, and I settle into a pace. The light starts to shine, and I see dogs in the yards checking out the scents left from overnight visitors. I get so wrapped up in my thoughts, I forget I am running. I run a common route with no thought. Before I know it, I am heading back down to my house. Just like that…it’s over or is it? I start to feel amazing, I have energy, my mood is lifted, I am just happy! That is what endorphins do in our body! This run was SO worth it and I am off to a fantastic start to my day!
