Run for YOU!

I recently had a dentist’s visit. Not my favorite place to visit but I did my best to prepare for it. First and foremost, I went for a run before going. It was a beautiful spring morning with cooler temperatures and frost on the grass. By getting my run in, I reduce my anxiety and nervousness. I am calmer and relaxed as I sat in the chair waiting for the drill (that’s no joke). During my run, I was able to think about the sun rising, the beautiful reflection of the sun on the lake, the crisp morning air, and the sound of birds chirping. Running gave me such an inner peace that by the time I had to conquer the dentist appointment I was calm, low blood pressure, and ready to move forward with any obstacles in my day. The run included some “pick-ups” to ensure I was working all my muscles efficiently. I once encourage you to run where and for the right reasons. How can running affect you and your mental health?
