What’s your fitness goal?

As many know, the Boston Marathon will open the registration next week. I am being hopeful that I my qualifying time is enough to enter into this extraordinary event. In truth, this sparked some thinking…what will I do if I don’t get in? Will I attempt to requalify? Will I find another race? Will I look for a shorter more enjoyable distance for myself? In short, what is my goal? To be honest, I had never set my goal to be Boston bound but that was before I qualified. Setting goals is so important though and helps me find purpose in my running. I have always had goal to finish marathons, help others through the 26.1 or even just have fun. With the pandemic, goal setting for running was not an option. However, now is a time to re-evaluate the goal. Next, week I’ll find out if I am Boston bound but if not I will set another goal. What’s your fitness goal?
